Health and Wellbeing Tutor

Salary Scale 6/7 (points 29-33), currently £33,476 to £37,659 per annum.

We are looking to appoint a Health & Wellbeing Tutor. The post holder will be required to plan and deliver the college’s Health, Well-being and Personal Social Development provision across a range of levels. As a member of the Education Team, you’ll undertake a teaching commitment from level RARPA courses through to Level 3 Access to Health. You’ll contribute to the development of our curriculum and will collaborate with staff across the college to
ensure an excellent learner experience from initial assessment through to progression.

To be considered for this role you must have experience of teaching Health and Wellbeing and Personal and Social Development and have a Level 4 recognised teaching qualification (or the ability and willingness to gain one within a period of 2 years from appointment). We’re looking for someone who holds a Level 4 qualification in a relevant area (or
who has gained equivalent professional experience in Health, Wellbeing and Personal and Social Development).
The right person will be someone who enjoys working at a fast pace with a variety of different tasks, who is self-managed with a strong work ethic, who has a positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude and is a completer / finisher.

Job Description

Overnight Supervisor

Salary: Scale 1, currently £24,570 (pro rata)
Hours per week: 30h per week (10:00pm – 8am Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)

We are looking to appoint an Overnight Supervisor to be the first point of contact in any emergency situation. The post
holder will be required to work alongside the Estates & Facilities Manager to provide an evening and overnight
caretaking service that ensures the College is safe and presentable for staff, students & visitors. To be considered for
this role, you must have experience of undertaking caretaking or concierge duties in a busy setting, must have an
awareness and commitment to Safeguarding and Prevent, and be able to work as part of a team and independently
without supervision.

Job Description

Finance Governor

We have a vacancy on our Governing Body and are looking to fill this with an individual from a diverse background and experience with a strong commitment to social and climate/environmental justice and adult education. Previous experience as a Charity Trustee or Further Education governor is helpful but not essential.

We are currently interested in strengthening our Board in the area of Finance.

You will need good oral communication skills and the ability to think and plan strategically, monitor performance and outcomes, and interpret different forms of information, including reports and data, are all necessary. All Governors are expected to share a commitment to safeguarding adults.

The role is unpaid but reasonable expenses can be reimbursed. Benefits of the role include helping to transform lives through education, working collaboratively with an enthusiastic group of governors, and gaining boardroom experience for personal and professional development and your CV.

Necessary technology and a full induction process followed by ongoing training and support are provided. 

Governing Body meetings are currently held four times a year, supplemented by termly sub-committee meetings (the latter being online). Commitment to attend meetings and engage with Board business is essential.
