The PREVENT Duty

The PREVENT Duty counters extremism, radicalisation and terrorism.  We have embedded the PREVENT Duty into our Safeguarding policy which addresses the PREVENT Duty for all people attending college by:

  • Raising awareness
  • Providing support, as needed
  • Making referrals, as appropriate

The PREVENT Duty applies to anyone visiting the college as a student, member of staff, visitor, governor or any other college stakeholder.  You can access our PREVENT Policy here.

Anyone who has a Safeguarding and/or PREVENT concern at Fircroft should inform a Safeguarding Officer immediately by going to reception if they are in the building or telephoning the college on 0121 472 0116.
