Returning to learning, perhaps after many years, can be a daunting prospect and it is important to us that our students feel supported, cared about and recognised as unique individuals.
Information, advice and guidance is a big part of the enrolment process onto all of our courses and forms part of every student’s learning journey with us. After receiving a course application we contact the student to discuss why they want to do the course, what their future ambitions are and their plans to achieve their ultimate goal.
Students are encouraged to focus on their goals throughout their time at the college and often as they achieve and progress, their goals might change. Formal and informal Information, advice and guidance is embedded in all student interactions with us – in the classroom; discussions with our Admissions team; sessions with our Learning Support Assistants and conversations with their peers. We help our students to realise that what might have seemed impossible in the past, could actually be possible in the future.
