Brush up your digital skills and learn new ways to use technology that could help you in today’s workplace.

The objectives of this qualification are to ensure you can:

  • Understand how to protect digital devices and data
  • Communicate socially and professionally using technology
  • Apply digital skills in personal and business situations
  • Use digital resources to facilitate career progression

Activities involved within this qualification and software programs you will gain expertise in include:

  • Leaflet/brochure creation in Microsoft Publisher
  • Interactive presentation creation in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Research writing in Microsoft Word
  • Use and create professional emails for employment
  • Use social media to communicate to others
  • Create a professional online social media profile and use this to enhance job opportunity
  • Create an online blog
  • Develop and hold an online professional video meeting in Microsoft Teams and Zoom

By learning and using all of these digital skills and new software programs you could gain progression on to employment via enhancing your digital skills set as well as progressing on to a level 3 course.

Entry Requirements

If you have not already achieved a Level 1 digital skills qualification you may need to complete an initial assessment so that we can assess your skills level and see what support you may need if you are enrolled onto the course.
