ILM Award in the Management of Volunteers

If you have responsibility for organising volunteers and you are (or have been) in a paid or voluntary role, this course is ideal. Get the knowledge and skills required to be able to effectively manage volunteers and ensure that your organisation makes the most of their valuable contribution. Gain the key management skills and knowledge necessary to give your organisation the edge and equip yourself with a range of transferable skills.

You will develop practical leadership and management knowledge and skills across the following disciplines:

  • Managing volunteer agreements
  • Supervising and supporting volunteers
  • Promoting volunteering within your organisation and to volunteers

Entry Requirements 

The Level 3 Award in the Management of Volunteers is aimed at volunteer managers and co-ordinators who have a hands-on role in supporting volunteers in either paid employment, or a volunteering capacity.  People who have had previous experience of working with and managing/supervising volunteers and who may not currently be in employment or a volunteering role may also apply.

You must be working at Level 2 literacy, or above.

You must have access to a computer and the internet outside of college hours and be able to attend the 2 online sessions for the whole duration, as well as the college residential stays.
