*If you have already received a mandatory grant while studying for higher education there will be an additional £10 per short course to pay – this is to partly cover the resultant loss in funding.
All fees include tuition, learning resources/materials, accommodation and meals, except where specified. Please note that for two or three part short courses, the fees stated are per part e.g. a two-part professional short course would cost £140 per person in total (individual/voluntary sector student who has not previously studied at higher education level).
Most courses are FREE if you are claiming means-tested benefits.
If you are claiming certain types of benefits you will not have to pay any fees for our short courses†. These include Jobseeker’s Allowance, Working Tax Credit (income less than £15,276), Council Tax Benefit, Pension Guarantee Credit, Housing Benefit, Income Related Employment and Support Allowance, and Income Support. You will be asked to send evidence of your benefits once each year with your application when you enrol on a course (these should be no more than 6 months old on the date of the beginning of your first course).
If you have genuine difficulty paying the fees then we may be able to help - please ask about our Learner Support Fund. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to call us on 0121 472 0116.
