Fircroft College
About Voluntary Sector Courses
Fircroft College has a wealth of expertise of working with voluntary and community sector organisations.
You can choose from a wide range of short courses, covering areas such as fundraising and bid writing, strategic/business planning, budgets and finance, report writing and much more. Some of these courses are directed to specific roles and responsibilities within an organisation and therefore require you to have particular experience or a related job role.
Others are more general and aimed at improving your skills, knowledge and ability in key areas of organisational management and development.
There are a number of longer programmes leading to accredited qualifications, such as PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector), the Certificate in Managing Diversity and Equality, the Award in Community Development Work and the ILM Award in Effective Management.
We can also work with you and your organisation to provide bespoke training, either by delivering existing courses tailored to your needs, or by developing new courses to meet your specific requirements.
Examples of recent training programmes we have run for organisations include:
- Strategic Planning
- Tenancy/Social Housing
- In-house Training the Trainer
- Team-building and Organisational Planning
