Short Courses at Fircroft College

Enrolling on short courses at Fircroft College can help you achieve your personal and career goals, improve your skills and confidence and fulfil your true potential.

What makes Fircroft different from most other colleges is that all courses are residential. You will benefit from being immersed in a friendly and supportive learning environment, away from the stresses of everyday life. Class sizes are small, there is a high proportion of staff to learners and everyone has access to one-to-one support, advice and guidance. Most courses last just three days and are designed to fit a lot of learning into a short space of time. The quality of learning experience has been recognised by Ofsted, who awarded Fircroft straight grade one ‘outstanding’ marks in every area during its last inspection.

Short courses at Fircroft are split into the following areas:

  • Progression Pathway Courses are aimed at learners with few or no formal qualifications, offering a 'second chance' for adults looking to return to learning, improve their confidence and reach their true potential.
  • Voluntary Sector Courses help staff, trustees and volunteers with their own professional devlopment and the development of their organisation.
  • Family Learning Courses provide a unique opportunity for adults to learn and explore aspects of the National Curriculum with their children.
