Fees and funding - Access to Higher Education Diploma (Social Sciences and Humanities)
Accommodation and meals are free.
Tuition fees are FREE if you are aged between 19 and 23 and do not have a full Level 3 qualification (equivalent to two A-levels, a National Award, Certificate or Diploma, an Access to HE or NVQ 3). If you do have a full Level 3 qualification a Tuition Fee Loan is applicable to cover your College tuition fees.
You may be eligible to receive support for a living allowance, childcare provision and travel costs.
Enrolled students on the Access to Higher Education Diploma will receive payments to help with living costs for the duration of the course, regardless of their age.
If you are resident, as well as your accommodation and meals being provided at no charge, you will receive an additional living allowance.
If you are non-resident, you will also be given a living allowance and a free lunch at the College. We can also help you with childcare costs.
24+ Advanced Learner Loans are available for eligible learners aged 24 and above, and will cover the cost of tuition, so you do not have to pay upfront.
If you take out a loan and continue on the course, then we will also pay you a further £500 allowance, on top of the living allowance.
If you complete the course and go on to complete a degree at University, then you will not have to pay back this Loan.
If you don’t go on to University, you won’t have to pay your Loan back until your income is over £21,000 a year.
