University of Warwick’s Institute for Employment Research (IER)

Posted : 21st April 2017

The University of Warwick’s Institute for Employment Research (IER) is undertaking an important new research project on behalf of the Institutes for Adult Learning. This is your opportunity to submit evidence drawing on your own practice, knowledge and experience of the links between adult education and health & wellbeing.

The positive effects of adult education have long been known but how far is this reflected in current policy in all the relevant Government departments, such as Department for Education, Department for Health, DWP, Department for Justice, and in practice generally.

The IER is looking to build on the recently published Adult Education: Too Important To Be Left To Chance - which recommended the need for a national strategy for adult education - by exploring how specific areas of policy and practice can be informed by a new evidence base, starting with health & wellbeing

Your input would be extremely valuable to this project. Please here to see the full terms of reference and how to submit your evidence.
